We had just finished mourning the demise of the 'C' series and then Ernesto parachutes the C59 into the 2011 range! The new Italian designed and made C59 now tops the Colnago range for 2011 and is stunning. Like Ben Serotta Ernesto prefers lugged hi-modulus carbon for his high-end Italian frames. No coincidence there. The big feature of the C59 over the EPS is the historical shape of the Bi-conical tubes. Echoes of Master Olympic and Master X-Light and all the Tours and Classics they have won. • Made in Italy • Lugged ‘Omega’ carbon construction • Classic Bi-conical tubes • I-beam vertical rib in down tube • Internal cable routing • Colnago fully integrated headset system 1” 1/8 – 1”1/4 tapered • EPS full carbon fork • DI2 or conventional cabling versions • 22 sizes plus custom • SSP £3299.95 inc h/set C59 Italia Sizes Available: 42, 45, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58cm (sloping) 52 to 65cm (traditional) Geometry: Sloping or Traditional Fork: C59 Colours Available: (GDBL) (GDOB) (GDSL) (GDWH) (GDYB) (MTBK) (GDRD) Voeckler Replica ![]() COLNAGO C59 Italia: £3,299.95 (frame, fork) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() COLNAGO EPS The EPS frame is Colnago's top Italian-made lugged carbon fibre model for 2009. The frame is constructed from ultra-high and high modulus unidirectional composite and finished with a 3K twill. The top tube has a variable (40mm/35mm) conical shape with internal re-inforcement ribs. The rear triangle is the same as the Exteme-P. The fork and head tube has a 1 1/4" bearing in the bottom race which allows Colnago to build a stronger lighter fork, plus the extra wide down tube reduces twisting in the frame when pulling on the bars. Overall a fast handling race machine. • Frame assembled in Italy, with carbon tubes and lugs • Front triangle with tubes in different thickness • Titanium CNC machined bottom bracket • Carbon “wishbone” seat-stay • Chain-stay with “folio” shaped, oval joint (17mma x 35mm) in carbon fibre • EPS fork and C-HS semi-integrated headset • Seat post: Ø31.6mm • Extremely light frame designed for both professional and amateur racers • Ideal for racing and competition Link to first UK test for EPS on thewashingmachinepost EPS Sizes Available: 42, 45, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58cm (sloping) 52 to 65cm (traditional) Geometry: Sloping or Traditional Fork: EPS Colours Available: (AKOO) (AKIT) (AKRD) (AKSB) (AKVI) (AKBL) ![]() COLNAGO EPS: £3,100.00 (frame, fork and seatpost) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() COLNAGO MASTER X-LIGHT Steel There are some of us at CycleFit to whom this frame whispers pure desire. It speaks of all those lost years smudging bike-shop windows with fingers made sweaty with raw yearning. It is the ghost of the classic Colnago Master Olympic and a generation of unrequited xmas lists. We are never sure how long Colnago will make this standard-bearer of all steel framesets. Our advice is buy one and ride it or hang it as art or recapture your youth or put it in a vault as an investment. But get one whilst you can. The fact that it rides like a thoroughbred and is built by craftsman or that you could ride it to Tour de France victory if your legs would allow, is to miss the point completely. If you get the point then get the frame. If you don't then this diatribe is nonsense and always will be. • Frame made, in Italy, with DT15 Vs tubes • Colnago’s famous “Master” geometry • Carbon fibre, “wishbone” seat-stays • Complete with Steel Precisa or Carbon Street fork • Seat post: Ø27.2mm Master X-Light Sizes Available: 49 to 64 Geometry: TraditionalFork: Steel Precisa or Carbon Street Colours Available: (PR82)(PRMO) (PRZA) ![]() COLNAGO MASTER X-LITE STEEL: £1,550.00 (frame and fork) ![]() |
