The offer is open to employees of companies that have joined this version of the bike-to-work scheme. The companies can claim back the VAT and depending on the amount of tax the employee can save approximately a further 40% off the retail price; the employer is then paid back over a set period on a salary sacrifice basis. Most companies offer their employees up to £1000.00 to purchase a bike but if a credit licence is applied for there is no limit to how much you can spend.
Cyclesheme will issue paper work and facilitate the purchase, they charge us a 10% fee to facilitate the transaction so we add a 10% surcharge to the quote to maintain our margin (hope you don't mind).
