Shimano
Shimano R315 shoe - £299.99
Shimano make shoes for road, tri and MTB riding and have developed a mouldable upper on their top end shoes to improve fit and comfort.
The Shimano R315 road shoe is Shimano's flagship road shoe and is available in standard and wide width fittings. Shimano's carbon soles are possibly the stiffest on the market, the upper is supple with a generous toe box for squarer foot shapes. The heel cup is stable. Very well made and consistently good.
Shimano R241 shoe - £249.99
One notch down from the R315 the R241 has the same closure system and is only available in standard width. At Cyclefit we keep the black/blue version in stock.
Shimano TR70 Tri Shoe - £249.99
Shimano's shoe triathlon shoe is designed for easy entry and exit during transitions and is best suited for shorter distance events. Due to the open heel cup and single strap closure we recommend a road shoe that will offer better foot support for training and long distance events.
Lake
Lake CX401 - £319.99
In our opinion the Lake CX401 is one of the best cycling shoes on the market. The mouldable carbon heel cup stabilises the foot in the shoe for improved pedalling and knee tracking. The Boa closure gives the shoe a very adjustable and snug fit. The upper is made from kangaroo skin that is very soft and supple.
Waht makes this shoe even more comfortable is the dual carbon layer in the sole which acts a spring to divert pressure away from the met heads and alleviate 'hot foot'.
The CX401 is available in half sizes and and a standard and wide fit.
There is also a four bolt Speedplay option that eliminates the need for 3 bolt adaptors and gives a lower stack height.

Bont
New kids on the block Bont have been making custom mouldable footwear for many years for ice speed skaters. They have eveolved their research and technology and applied it to cycling shoes with great results.
A favourite of the pro peloton on the road and track the Bont shoe is very light, very very stiff and according to all those who use them the best thing they have put on their feet.
Getting the right fit is essential for comfort and performance. You have heard terms like 'custom fit' but what do they mean? Most manufacturers define custom fit as a shoe with a small amount of moldability in the upper. Some also have a very small degree of heat moldability in the base.
When we say this shoe is heat moldable, we really mean it. You can mold the sub-9 in any home oven and the amount of moldability is outrageous. If a shoe doesn't fit properly, you can't train or race at your optimum.

The Vaypor Premium range builds on the enormously successful Vaypor model with the introduction of laminated silver glass fibers into the uppers. Available in two versions, shiny microfiber with glass fiber straps and full silver glass fiber upper.

Based on the successful ctt-one, the Vaypor continues Bont’s development in shoe technology.
Whilst maintaining the lateral forefoot support synonymous with all Bont cycling shoe models, the Vaypor now has a reduced carbon height around the toe box area and an all new Suede L liner.
The base is made by hand by sandwiching cross weave carbon and uni-directional carbon fiber which is embedded with epoxy thermo setting resin. The fibers are hand laid in the matrix according to the strain they will have to bear. Super Mold Technology allows you to obtain a custom fit from a stock boot.
The Bont a-one’s industry leading stack height, weight to strength ratio and power transfer are all part of the new Bont Vaypor.
Bont Sub 9 Tri Shoe - Shiny Silver - £175.00
The sub-9 has a two piece tongue that opens the shoe right up making it very easy for you to slip your foot in for a fast transition. Add to that, Bonts' patent pending built in shoe horn lets you put your shoe on with just one finger. This shoe also has a shoe protector for the heel which protects the shoe during the transition.
