GLIDER EASTWAY - MADE IN THE UK
A British classic
We have teamed up with Mercian Cycles of Derby to produce a truly British frame in homage to the Eastway Cycle Circuit that was flattened to make way for the Olympic stadium in East London.
The Eastway is assembled from a combination of Reynolds 653 tubing - the modern equivalent of Reynolds 531c the benchmark tubeset that Phil and I apsired to ride over twenty years ago - and traditional silver soldered lugged construction; geometry is to the now classic Glider Tupelo design for stable handling and a lovely smooth ride, meaty enough to handle rough roads and stiff enough to race.
The Eastway is available as a regular road frame or as a single speed, stock or custom. For the full traditional appearance we have used a 1" headset with an old school quill stem, however we can build the Eastway with the new fangled aheadset if required.
The Eastway is a limited edition of only TEN frames.
