BIKE OF THE MONTH MAY '09 GLIDER WINGTIP
NATURAL BORN WINNER!
By Warrick Spence

What can I say apart from the fact that I am trying to make a comeback from a poor year last year, and to have the right tool for the job really helps, as well as a cool paintjob and matching white kit.

The Glider Wingtip with it's funky paint job (logo wars) rides very comfortable which is a surprise as it is also very stiff -so far this bike has taken on some challenging terrian from off road farm tracks at The Dengie Marshes race in March to the Cobbles of Flanders as well as plenty of action at Crystal Palace which suits me and the bike to a Tee, 3 wins in 3 starts.

Have come out of all this feeling fine as the bike lets me do what I do best.

Right from the start when Julian ordered in some white FSA bars and stem before the frame arrived I  had no idea apart from a few computer images what the frame would look like, could have gone either way, but from the response of none cyclists, ie car drivers. it has all been positive, this bike is liked by everyone and rides like a dream and that is with the Mavic SLR wheels, would change nothing on this bike, even starting to appreciate SRAM red double tap gear system. All in all a fantastic bike and I shoudn't say this out load, but the bike complete with pedals etc is just a tad over 16Lbs in weight which is under the UCI weight limit, like I am going to be getting anywhere in  UCI race. Will be using it to attack the Etape this year though.

I love and want one as my own.
