Guru

About Guru

We have known Guru and about Guru for a while now. But both of us are small, cautious companies working in the quiet hallowed part of the cycling industry that permits only one bike at a time for one client at a time.

We have admired their bikes and philosophy from afar until we really got to know them at this year's SICI Symposium in Denver.

The Start of a Beautiful Relationship

Working so closely with Serotta for seven years has honed our perfectionism, both for craftsmanship and precision of fit. Even so Guru put us through an extensive interview and probation period before we could claim to represent them in the UK. Now we are proud to be associated with this meticulous company that produces beautiful custom bicycles. The uber-modern factory that hand-crafts every frame is situated just outside Montreal (Québec), Canada - city that represents the gateway to Europe in North America.

Custom, Aero, Carbon - An Option Not a Choice!

Guru started just like every othe genuinely great bike company (Colnago, Serotta… etc) - one visionary man having both the dream and the skills to one day build the best bikes in the world.

Guru's core identity is strengthened by their relative youth. They are not constrained by tradition at all - they are unashamedly cutting-edge in their materials and production techniques. Both the Crono2 and Geneo are still virtually unique concepts - custom, carbon and aero are almost never seen in the same sentence. A custom carbon race frame is extremely difficult to fabricate well and adding in aero necessarily makes it a high-tech company's life's work. Guru has rightly devoted itself and the entire Montreal factory to making this a reality for the discerning racer who wants perfection.

Guru has made a short clip that details some of the preparation, innovation and exacting work involved in making a client-specific hand-tailored Geneo and Crono.

New for 2013, as a result of expansion, Guru have begun producing frames in a tiered structure to better meet the needs of their customers. This means that models will be available at a variety of price points, with varying levels of customisation, and varying production times.

Tier 1 frames feature full custom geometry and paint options for the very best in modern bicycle design.

Tier 2 frames feature Fast Forward stock geometry but a full range of paint customisation.

Tier 3 frames feature stock geometry and stock colours for high value, high quality riding.

Please consult the individual model pages to the right to see which Tiers are available for which frame.
