Subject: I'm still alive
I'm still alive, survived the post-christmas-new years eve-dad's birthday binge.
As a result of some silly bet (made under slight influence of new years eve
bubbly) I had to change all sorts of stinky nappies for a week. Then Agi and Matteo went to see Agi's parents, so I had time for the Big ride. After 300 metres I had the opportunity to observe the tarmac from close range, ( oh dear, black ice, oh no my Hyperons, oh no my Assos bibshorts!! Hyperons ok, Assos
naaat!) Day finished 140km later, 9 celsius and in sunshine, went up on a 9k long climb to 700m above sea level (540 elevation) 3 degrees, snow, misty-foggy cold. Hot chocolate from the hilltop hotel was godsend, the downhill ride was frozen fingertip hell. Survived with smile, I need this sort of thing more in the new year, I think.
Gotta go, have to catch my train to Bp, then fight back to Londres!
See you tommorrow
PS, How about the outdoor kitchen at the hotel I stopped?
