Prudential RideLondon - Surrey 100
Ride with Cyclefit and Pancreatic Cancer UK
Sunday 30th July 2017
The Prudential RideLondon is a three day Cycling Festival to celebrate cycling in the Capital.
There are two very popular sportive events on the Sunday and UCI accredited races for male and female Professional cyclists.
The Prudential RideLondon - Surrey 100 (100 mile Sportive) follows the 2012 Olympic Road Race Course on traffic free roads from the centre of London, staring at Queen Elizabeth Park in East London out to Boxhill in Surrey and finishing on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
The Surrey 100 is a wonderful way to raise money for charities and this year Cyclefit is collaborating with Pancreatic Cancer UK to raise much needed funding for research in to improving early diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer and patients chances of survival.
My younger brother Jon Wall died from Pancreatic Cancer in 2014 at the age of 42 leaving behind a young wife and child; he spent eighteen months trying to find out why he felt so unwell with several mis-diagnosis' along the way. He was eventually diagnosed in December 2013 and told that he only had three months left to live and that nothing could be done. If he had been diagnosed correctly when he first started feeling unwell and his Doctors were able to associate the different symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer he might still be here today.
Ride for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The Prudentail RideLondon - Surrey 100 (one hundred mile) event is always oversubscribed and the ballot for 2017 is now closed; however in association with Pancreatic Cancer UK (a charity that I am personally involved with) we can offer places for riders that are willing to pledge and raise £700.00 for the charity.
To help raise money for PCUK I am offering evening/after-hours Cyclefit appointments and donating £50.00 from each appointment.
Pancreatic Cancer UK riders will also receive the following discounts from Cyclefit:
10% off any bike fitting service and Sidas custom footbeds
5% off any parts or accessories and new bicycles.
We will help you keep riding so you can donate more to PCUK.
Ride the Pilgrims Hospice Cycle Challenge as preparation and for a good cause.
