Ridley Kanzo Fast

Aero, Gravel, Comfort - All of the above!

Ridley Kanzo Fast

The central thesis of Kanzo (meaning a traveller poet or troubadour) is entirely simple - to blend: AERO, GRAVEL & COMFORT into a single bicycling entity. Pick any two of the criteria and the pathway to success is simple, but all three requires some parsing.
The fact that Kanzo (with factory custom paint) is far and away our most popular model through our sister company, 2Pedalz, suggests that Ridley have riddled this one absolutely perfectly.

Kanzo Fast 07 5

"Job 1: blend AERO, GRAVEL & COMFORT into a single bicycling entity."

Wind-Tunnel / Jeep Track Split-Screen

The only way to approach this kind of Gemini conundrum is to split-screen between the wind-tunnel and real-world riding. Luckily Ridley has easy access to both.

The Kanzo Fast Recipe

Ridley used all their experience and resources sculpting their Noah Fast in their wind-tunnel to create the perfect Kanzo silhouette.
For the sculptor's raw material Ridley use Toray carbon from Japan in 60T, 50T, 30T and 24T blends - the higher the T or Ton, the lighter and stiffer that part of the fuselage. A Kanzo fast made from all 60T would be uncomfortable to ride all day on mixed surfaces so Ridley blend the profiles achieve the perfect Kanzo recipe - Aero, Gravel, Comfort.

Geometry

Geometry also helps - the Kanzo Fast size M Stack & Reach is 587/385, compared to 541/420 for comparable Noah Fast 3.0. This introduces the creative concept of the more recreational rider using Kanzo as their aero/road bike.

What our clients say

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "

    Peter G.

    Recreational rider

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    Susan

    Cyclist

  • "Honestly these are great (custom orthotics). My feet feel totally balanced and stable and I‘m not searching for the pedal when I want to push it. They’ve made a massive difference.”"

    Tom Pidcock

    Olympic MTB Gold Medallist

  • "Cyclefit provide a great personalised service that focuses on giving you exactly what you need. They are extremely knowledgable and friendly and no request/requirement is too difficult for them."

    PM

    Cyclist & triathlete

  • "I tried the shorter cranks today and I like them - it feels like it's less stress for the back and it seems easier to ride higher cadence. In the end I had a good Tour with no back problems. Thanks for your help!"
