Foot stability and alignment are central to how you move on the bike, and we’re experts at addressing these foundational elements to improve your bio-mechanics. comfort, improved power and injury resistance.

Your session will take place on our infinitely adjustable Fit Bike and we will define your optimal riding position.

More Experience. Better Outcomes. Proven at Every Level.

What to expect from your Cyclefit appointment

Our evidence-based bike fitting process follows a structured and clinical protocol:

1. Rider History & Interview to gather detailed information

Cycling history, goals and performance objectives
Injury history and current issues

2. Functional Movement Assessment (FMS)

A structured evaluation including:
Postural alignment and symmetry (static and dynamic assessment)
Lower limb functional screening (e.g., single-leg squats)
Hamstring and hip-flexor flexibility
Inseam and limb-length measurement to inform bike set-up

3. Pedal Interface & Foot Control Analysis

Foot measurements and assessment
Prescription and fitting of Sidas footbeds (if indicated)
Cleat position optimisation
Use of varus/valgus wedges, pedal spacers, and stack height modifications if required

4. Dynamic Fitting on the Cyclefit Fit Bike

Live positional assessment pedalling on our infinitely adjustable Cyclefit Fit Bike
Dynamic saddle height, setback, and cockpit adjustment as you ride
Establishment of optimal limb angles and kinematic efficiency
Output of bike set-up measurements in easy to understand numbers and XY handlebar and saddle co-ordinates

5. Coaching and advice on ideal pedal technique and cycling posture

Guidance to improve pedal symmetry and correct application of force
Upper body postural advice to engage the core and glutes

6. Post-Fit Evaluation & Summary

Following the session, you will receive:
A detailed report with observations, recommendations and bike set-up measurements

Cyclefit Technology

At Cyclefit London we use the most advanced bike fitting technology combined with expert analysis to deliver the most precise bike fitting experience in the UK.

1. Cyclefit Fit Bike Analysis

The infinitely adjustable CycleFit Bike records key pedalling data and precise XY coordinates. This allows us to determine your optimal bike set-up.

2. Dartfish 4-Camera Motion Analysis

Four high-speed Dartfish cameras (60+ frames per second), analyse your riding posture and technique in real-time. This motion analysis goes far beyond what the human eye can see (16 fps) and is a powerful diagnostic and coaching tool for cyclists of all levels.

3. Saddle Pressure Mapping

The gebioMized pressure pad analyses the interaction between the pelvis and saddle. It records how any positional changes affect the contact points and symmetry on the saddle and helps your fitter determine the most comfortable saddle.

4. Spinscan Pedal Analysis

Spinscan remains the most accurate method of evaluating pedalling efficiency. We use this tool to track how positional adjustments influence your pedal stroke—perfect for technique optimization and essential for post-injury rehabilitation.

What our clients say

  • "A great service, full of personal touches as well as the "harder" scientific analysis of my position on the bike, which was also excellent. I feel more planted on the bike now, and came away with some really useful feedback from the session."

    Ed H

    London Dynamo Rider

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    Susan

    Cyclist

  • "I'm new to cycling so needed some support on finding a bike that would be right for me. Julian couldn't have been kinder or more supportive, he took time to find out what I wanted from my cycling and then looked closely at my physical structure to ensure that the bike is a comfortable fit for me. It really is a 5 star service and far exceeded my expectations."

    RM

    New Cyclist

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "

    Peter G.

    Recreational rider

  • "Rode my standard Box Hill loop this morning with the temp shims and more thought to position. Felt more connected and compact on the bike. Fastest ride of the year, picked up close to a km/per hour despite crappy wet pot holed roads, a ton of traffic and a couple of nights out Thu/Fri."
