The new lighter Trek Domane - at home in the mountains

The Trek Domane has been a firm favourite with Cyclefit's clients for many years as its high stack and short reach (see our journal page) puts the handlebars in to an easy-reach position that enables riders with limited flexibility or those who want a more upright position to ride their bike in comfort.

We have demo SLR bikes arriving soon and will also have the new Domane+ E-bike to view and test ride.

The all-new carbon Trek Domane Gen 5 is lighter, sleeker, and built to deliver the comfort and confidence riders expect from Trek’s iconic endurance road bike. It’s a modern endurance bike for road and light gravel, with classic road looks, increased tyre clearance to 40mm and simplified sizing. The Trek Domane SL opens the door at a more accessible price point, while the Domane SLR delivers top-tier performance, premium builds, and most importantly Project One customization options to specify, frame, components and paint.

Lightweight Endurance Performance

The Trek Domane Gen5 is 305 grams lighter than the previous generation when comparing SLR framesets, thanks to a new streamlined design. For customers who want something even lighter (like, insanely light) the Domane SLR 9 AXS 1x Gen 5 is 2.1 pounds lighter than the lightest previous-generation build.

The new Domane brings riders what they love about endurance road riding: speed, comfort, confidence, and versatility — now in a lighter, cleaner package.

Significantly lighter (and simpler) frame and fork with advanced OCLV Carbon construction.

Sleeker design with classic road style and modern compatibility.

Still comfortable, still fast with no major trade-off in the ride feel Domane is known for

Simplified line-up with fewer SKUs and six sizes that fit the same broad range of riders

Clearance for 40mm tires. Increased tyre volume improves comfort, more grip, and more sealant = less punctures!

A new riser bar adds 20mm of rise to keep riders more upright and comfortable with less spacers.

More bonus points for Trek:

Road-smoothing seatpost

The new seatpost is designed to flex vertically and absorb road chatter, helping riders stay comfortable and ride stronger longer.

Relaxed Road Endurance Geometry

The new Gen 5 Domane keeps the Road Endurance Geometry riders love with a more upright riding position that’s stable at speed and comfortable for long days in the saddle.

Mounts for bike luggage and mudguards

Integrated mounts make it easy to add a top tube bag, frame bag, triangle bag, or fenders for bigger rides and messier weather.

What our clients say

  • "A great service, full of personal touches as well as the "harder" scientific analysis of my position on the bike, which was also excellent. I feel more planted on the bike now, and came away with some really useful feedback from the session."

    Ed H

    London Dynamo Rider

  • "A very thorough, professional and personal service. I was keen to analyse my bike position after breaking my hip. The custom footbeds and alterations to my position feel really good, just wish I’d come sooner! Many thanks"

    TD

    Endurance MTB rider

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."
