How to order your new bicycle

A guide to ordering your new bike from Cyclefit

Step 1. Call, email or drop-in.

To speak with one of our Cyclefit Technicians. We can discuss bike and frame options and/or make an appointment for you to have a look at the bikes on display.

Step 2. Book your New Bike Cyclefit

This is where we find your best riding position and make the frame and component recommendations.

We build a quote for you so you can see the exact specification and price of your new bike.

For the past two decades we have adhered to the very well grounded and successful theory that every bike we sell (stock or custom) should be preceded by a thorough Cyclefit. We are leaders in the world of bike fitting and can ensure that any rider we see is set up correctly on a 'stock' geometry bicycle; or, design a frame with our custom frame suppliers.

We walk you through the many component choices and wheel options matching the equipment to the frame and selecting the correct length stem, bars and cranks to balance your ride

Custom building a bicycle around an individual cyclist enables us work at our highest possible level.

We put every client and their cycling dream at the heart of every project.

Stock Bikes and Frames.

Using the co-ordinates from the Fit Bike we will select the correctly sized components and frame size. Allocate you your own box and put all the parts in as they arrive ready for assembly. Quite often your bike will be assembled from several different manufacturers/suppliers and countries and is affected by their own supply chain so lead times may fluctuate.

Custom Frames.

Step 3. Bike Design and Component selection

The final measurements taken from the Fit Bike and the XY co-ordinates generated (these are the measurements that relate the bottom bracket to the saddle and handlebars) provide us with the data required to design the geometry of your frame. We walk you through the many component choices and wheel options matching the equipment to the frame and selecting the correct length stem, bars and cranks to balance your ride; fast handling and racy or more stable on descents, whichever you prefer or anywhere in between. Road, gravel, all-roads, touring or a combination of all!

Step 4. Custom frame design sent to the builder

We send the initial frame design and finish details to your chosen frame builder and liaise with their designers, fine tuning the tube specification for suppleness and stiffness and balancing the geometry. The tubing used is based on your weight and how supple you would like the bike to feel on the road.

Step 5. Frame draft returned for sign-off and order

A few days later we receive the confirmed frame design form with the detailed geometry, tube specification and frame finish. Once you are happy with everything we place your order in to the build queue.

"Our custom clients are consistently our happiest clients. Their bikes never, ever date, even after 100,000 miles."

Toro1

"Fit was millimetre perfect and like getting on an old friend. Took a 5mm torque key and didn’t even use it ! First impressions were fab - tons of grip on the tyres, super brakes, lighter, real spring in the frame, lots of range on gears, mudguards a blessing. It’s a real magic carpet ride, super comfortable. It’s a big step forward over classic Indyfab, as I wanted. Thank you so much, feel very privileged to get all your collective expertise and lucky to get the bike given the difficulty to get parts and frames"

What our clients say

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    WD

    Recreational cyclist

  • "Rode my standard Box Hill loop this morning with the temp shims and more thought to position. Felt more connected and compact on the bike. Fastest ride of the year, picked up close to a km/per hour despite crappy wet pot holed roads, a ton of traffic and a couple of nights out Thu/Fri."

    Matt H

    Seven Evergreen SL

  • "A highly personalized and very friendly service, giving good advice and adjustments that are helpful whatever level of cyclist you are."

    MJ

    Cyclist

  • "A very thorough, professional and personal service. I was keen to analyse my bike position after breaking my hip. The custom footbeds and alterations to my position feel really good, just wish I’d come sooner! Many thanks"
