The Team

Julian Wall sm

Julian Wall, Co-founder

Co-founder, general manager, bike fitter and bike designer. Jules rides an Open U.P., Seven 622XX, Trek Top Fuel & a Trek Emonda SLR. Jules enjoys riding off-road on his U.P. and MTB racing. When he's not on his bike he tries to keep his garden under control, walks his dogs and enjoys nature.
Julian's Cyclefit bike-fit speciality is that he leads Cyclefit's work with professional teams and riders. In his element when he is calmly working through complex problems with someone whose livelihood depends on the outcome.

Phil 3

Philip Cavell, Co-founder

Co-founder, bike fitter and bike designer, author. Phil rides a Seven Axiom XX custom titanium bike and an Airnimal Joey folding bike. He wrote The Midlife Cyclist and enjoys walking his dog, reading, politics and the outdoors. Phil's specialism is working with clients who have complex and frequently chronic issues. Phil is most at home working in a collegiate, multi-disciplinary team, to help clients resolve intricate issues.

Barna Eichinger sm

Barna Eichinger, Head Mechanic

Barna is Cyclefit's head mechanic and he has many devout followers. He rides a Trek Emonda SLR road bike and commutes on his Trek Crockett to and from Watford nearly every day, all year. He collects Persian rugs and supports Arsenal but struggles with this most of the time.

Vaughn Pretorius sm

Vaughn Pretorius, Bike Fitter

Bikefitter and customer service. Vaughn loves racing his Pinarello and is a great sprinter. Originally from New Zealand he is enjoying racing in London and he spends most of his time riding his bike. Vaughn's speciality is working with male and female racers, who are interested in using bike-fit to ride faster, more efficiently for longer.

Ed Moesli sm

Ed Moesli, Mechanic

Apprentice mechanic and sales; he's actually a good mechanic already but wants the certificate. An experienced bike tour guide and he rides his bike a lot which is a Giant (need to get that on brand!).

Nichola Roberts sm

Nichola Roberts, Chartered Physiotherapist

Nichola is a cycling specific physiotherapist and works with cyclists and triathletes of all levels. She is a keen cyclist herself and enjoys riding on the road and gravel.

Mick Habgood sm

Mick Habgood, Specialist Cycling Podiatrist

Mick makes specialist orthotics for cyclists and is probably the world's best (actually he is). He lives in Bilbao, Spain and enjoys riding his Trek Emonda in the Basque hills. He works with World Tour Team EF Pro Cycling and Team GB.

What our clients say

  • "Thanks very much Phil. Did an 80 mile sportive yesterday on the road bike - perfect set up thanks; I've never been so comfortable, and no after effects! Cheers, Ian "

    Ian T.

    Time-Triallist (70+)

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "

    Peter G.

    Recreational rider

  • "Cyclefit offers an in-depth and highly personalised approach to bike sales. Whatever your riding discipline (for me it’s road, gravel and MTB) the team in Covent Garden will find the right build for you. All this is built around a pro level bike fit and detailed component selection. Add to this the important items often overlooked beyond the bike itself such as shoes, insoles and saddle pressure mapping and it’s a full service operation."

    Self-confessed MAMIL

  • "Hey Julian and Phil, I hope you are both well. I just completed a 21 hour week on my new 165mm cranks and I am in love. They feel so so great! Thank you for all your help. I’ve never felt so comfortable on my bike before. All the best, Hannah"

    Hannah Barnes

National Champion / Professional Bike Rider

  • "I tried the shorter cranks today and I like them - it feels like it's less stress for the back and it seems easier to ride higher cadence. In the end I had a good Tour with no back problems. Thanks for your help!"
