Open UP Gravel Plus x 2

Opens1

Sibling Harmony

Brothers Richard and Mark commissioned builds each for 2018 Open UP Gravel Plus bikes. They never even argued about the colour! Both bikes show common themes and individual project variation. Everyone who has an Open raves about the sense of adventure these beautiful bikes offer. 80% of our Open builds use 1x11 and 60% take two sets of wheels - generally 650bx21.MTB and 700x32 road/cross. The ability to have a bike with a multiple personality with a 15 second wheel change is truly addictive. The original Open UP is now much copied but never bettered. It is an idea and a bike that has spawned a whole way of riding. Last year Jules raced his UP three ways in six months - road-race, cyclo-x and MTB race!

What our clients say

  • "I tried the shorter cranks today and I like them - it feels like it's less stress for the back and it seems easier to ride higher cadence. In the end I had a good Tour with no back problems. Thanks for your help!"

    Bauke Mollema
  • "Honestly these are great (custom orthotics). My feet feel totally balanced and stable and I‘m not searching for the pedal when I want to push it. They’ve made a massive difference.”"

    Tom Pidcock

    Olympic MTB Gold Medallist

  • "A highly personalized and very friendly service, giving good advice and adjustments that are helpful whatever level of cyclist you are."

    MJ

    Cyclist

  • "Rode my standard Box Hill loop this morning with the temp shims and more thought to position. Felt more connected and compact on the bike. Fastest ride of the year, picked up close to a km/per hour despite crappy wet pot holed roads, a ton of traffic and a couple of nights out Thu/Fri."

    Matt H

    Seven Evergreen SL

  • "Julian was very knowledgeable and explained the fitting process very well. He came highly recommended and i completely agree. Very happy with the service. Instantly felt better on the bike. The pain i had in my knee went away right away. "
