OPENxENVE WIDE Limited Edition

The urgent email came through in from a client: "The new OpenxEnve WIDE has tempted me out of lockdown work focus - would you have access to a Medium, if not too late as suggested by the Open blog".

The blog in question was by Open CEO Andy Kessler and went along the lines of:

"Ok, I recommend you not to read this blog until the end... you will waste too much precious time. Just look at the pictures first and then make a quick decision and click here"

I was like a campanologist on steroids the number of strings and ropes that I pulled to get our client this frame! We went on a personal mission. They could have demand for ten times the number of the production allocation. Even though we are the oldest and most established Open dealer in the UK, we don't get any special advance warning. Open limited editions are the most stressful events - every time I talk to Andy afterwards he sounds like he has aged ten years:

"Never again man, I don't know why we do it - the whole company goes into meltdown/overdrive!"

They do it because they love it. And so do we. But it is very stressful and ultimately disappointing for most people. But not this time, not for this lucky client!"
