Pegoretti Responsorium Ciavete Artist Paint

Dario Pegoretti was half artisan frame-builder and half fine artist. Every frame that bears his name is superior to the sum of those parts. Unique. Irreplaceable.

Every piece is unique, sculpted, created by hand. A literal work-of-art you can ride.

You Don't Buy a Pegoretti - You Commission One.

And this one belongs to Nick - a longtime friend and client of Cyclefit. There is something achingly stripped and pure about a Pegoretti race-frame. Especially when it is crafted from custom butted Columbus XCR stainless steel tubing in the Pegoretti Bottega in Veneto. Nick has had the taste, judgement and experience to see the project through with stem-to-stern Campagnolo SR 12sp and a dalliance of Enve carbon. One should never buy a bike expecting it to be a sound investment. But this one is. Timeless and joyful.

"Ciavete is an exercise in artistry and improvisation. Hand-painted in a freeform, often abstract manner, each Ciavete is a unique composition, inspired by the moment and completed in one immersive, uninterrupted session."

What our clients say

  • "A highly personalized and very friendly service, giving good advice and adjustments that are helpful whatever level of cyclist you are."

    MJ

    Cyclist

  • "Rode my standard Box Hill loop this morning with the temp shims and more thought to position. Felt more connected and compact on the bike. Fastest ride of the year, picked up close to a km/per hour despite crappy wet pot holed roads, a ton of traffic and a couple of nights out Thu/Fri."

    Matt H

    Seven Evergreen SL

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    Susan

    Cyclist

  • "Honestly these are great (custom orthotics). My feet feel totally balanced and stable and I‘m not searching for the pedal when I want to push it. They’ve made a massive difference.”"

    Tom Pidcock

    Olympic MTB Gold Medallist

  • "I tried the shorter cranks today and I like them - it feels like it's less stress for the back and it seems easier to ride higher cadence. In the end I had a good Tour with no back problems. Thanks for your help!"
