A beautiful example of an award winning frame.

Big A1

The Big Man's Bike. How do you build for an ex Team GB 400 metre sprinter power-house - and still make it look good?

The Big Man's Bike!

It is an almost universal truism in custom bike design, that it is hard to make bikes for really big guys aesthetically beautiful. But this project demanded it. Because Alex is a complete perfectionist. As well as being one of the most powerful human beings we have ever worked with - 6' 4" of ex team GB 400 metre, fast-twitch, cauldron of explosive potential!

We started with a custom designed seven 622SLX carbon/ti fuselage, added in an XV Upgrade and Captain Marvel 1" to beef up the engine room department. Add in a set of our favourite Bontrager XXX5 wheels, SRAM's new ASX groupset and Enve finishing kit, and you have a bike that will remain composed, should Alex ever decide to open the taps and dive for the line again.

What our clients say

  • "I have a lot of trust in you guys and I know how you work so I think we could do something good. Orthotics feeling good."

    Tom Pidcock

World and Olympic champion, Ineos Grenadiers.

  • "Hey Julian and Phil, I hope you are both well. I just completed a 21 hour week on my new 165mm cranks and I am in love. They feel so so great! Thank you for all your help. I’ve never felt so comfortable on my bike before. All the best, Hannah"

    Hannah Barnes

National Champion / Professional Bike Rider

  • "Rode my standard Box Hill loop this morning with the temp shims and more thought to position. Felt more connected and compact on the bike. Fastest ride of the year, picked up close to a km/per hour despite crappy wet pot holed roads, a ton of traffic and a couple of nights out Thu/Fri."

    Matt H

    Seven Evergreen SL

  • "I tried the shorter cranks today and I like them - it feels like it's less stress for the back and it seems easier to ride higher cadence. In the end I had a good Tour with no back problems. Thanks for your help!"

    Bauke Mollema
  • "A highly personalized and very friendly service, giving good advice and adjustments that are helpful whatever level of cyclist you are."
